Had oodles of fun this past weekend with the ladies and our husband George!! It was Rhon's bestie Dana's birthday and of course WE SHOWED UP and SHOWED OUT! It's always a MOVIE when we are out!

everyday a STAR is born......

On June 2 2010, Princess Kaleigh Melrose was born!! Thank God because I couldn't take another moment of pregnancy!! UGH!

A lot of people have asked me how my labor and pregnancy was. Labor was a BREEEEEZE! It's the DREADFUL 9mos of agony, weight gain, hunger that never goes away and swelling that's the issue.... and I guess its not all bad, I did enjoy feeling my baby kick and flip around... that is until she sat on my bladder forcing me to pee every 2 minutes and knocking the wind out of me and then I could hardly breathe!

Oh but thank God on June 1st had my routine doctors appointment, I waddle in as usual in pain.. step on the scale and realize that I've official gained *have a seat for this* A WHOPPING 35 POUNDS!! *faints* After recovering from that I then waddle into the examination room to find out I was 3cm dilated! WHOOP WHOOP!! The day before I waddled alllll around Arundel Mills Mall trying to jump start the process and it worked! So my doctors says to me "So would you like to be induced??" I say "OMG YES!!!" Im totally thinking maybe in a few days or so.. she says to me "How does TOMORROW sound?!" I could have cried!!

So totally excited I rushed out of there called only a few people to let them know Ms. Kaleigh would be here the next day, it was sooo hard for me to keep it quite! I go home and prepare for her arrival! I couldn't sleep at all! I wake up early the next day, did my hair and my makeup to a "T" I wanted my daughter to know her mom is truly a GLAM DOLL.. LOL

On my way to the hospital sooooooo excited!!!! A few hours go pass, The big brother Jaylin shows up I was so happy to see my handsome little guy! My sister and Mom arrive then one of Kaleigh's God Mommy's shows up in her PINK in honor of our new arrival.. so they kick the meds up.. and im as cool as a cucumber.. no pain in sight! I watch a little Beyonce to kick up the mood! So by this time we are on about hour 4. I try to take a nap.. the nurses come in and wake me and say "Katrina, are you ok?! Your contractions are really strong!" I was feeling good!

So, here's where things go terrible wrong, I ask for an epidural (remember I wasn't in pain) The anesthesiologist come in, set up and get things ready.. I assume the position to get my epidural.. and after them MESSING UP 4 TIMES they finally got it right! smh!!!! I was so mad!! I should have went NATURAL!

Still no pain..... then finally its time to PUSH!! It was 9:29 pm and she was born at 9:31pm!!! I wasn't playing was I?! Child birth was so easy! Thank you Lord!

I had a BEAUTIFUL baby girl 7 pounds 5 ounces!

Well well well, its been a long time coming!! Now that I've had the baby, Im getting back into the swing of things and figured I would take some time out to blog again.. What would this world be with out a fabulous word from me?! STAY TUNED ;)

SHREK!!!!!

So the Kid and I went to see Shrek "The Final Chapter" on Friday! Even though I feel that Shrek along with some other movies that are suppose to be geared towards children are more for adults with the subliminals thrown in there and adult jokes LOL nonetheless ... We enjoyed the movie!! I absolutly enjoy all the characters in the movie!! Rumple Stiltskin, Gingy and poor Puss in Boots is overweight!! Too cute!! I LOVE SPENDING MOTHER AND SON TIME! Plus with the little lady on her way wanted to do something with my little guy!

In honor of SHREK you know I had to do something FAB!!!

I purchased the "Mini's" of the SHREK nail polish collection. Which included
"WHO THE SHREK ARE YOU?" Which is a beautiful GREEN that resembles SHREK alot I LOVVVVE IT!!
"FIERCLY FIONNA" Which is suppose to be a light green but depending on complexion gives a little yellow to me! This is one of my favs!!

"WHATS THE CATTITIUDE?" A beautiful light blue!! This color is sooo pretty!!!

"RUMPLE'S WIGGIN" This is a very nice lavender!!

"OGRE-THE-TOP-BLUE" This is my favorite blue that OPI has come out with!



"FUNKEY DUNKEY" This deep purple is GREAT!!





This collection is FLYING off the shelves!! I guess SHREK is a popular guy! :)

If you havent taken your family to see the movie yet, you should.. Shrek is always a fun movie and in 3D it's even better! :) OH AND LADIES!! GET THAT NAIL POLISH!!

HEY MAMA..*in my Kanye West voice*

It's not until the end of the day when I sit down and gather my thoughts and realize that I do soo much in a day! Just being a single mom to an almost 8 year old little fella alone is a HANDFUL!!

Waking up at 630 am every morning, getting him dressed for school then dropping him off. After dropping him off going to the salon to work,somehow in between rushing to pick him up from school find a way to take care of other things (supermarket/wal-mart runs), take him to his after school activities, find energy to be enthused then come home check homework and make dinner. Fight him to take a shower after that get clothes together for the next day and do it all over again!! WHEW!! oh and did I mention that I am expecting?! So that makes it 25 times harder!


This alone has been a roller coaster! Trying to adapt to having another parent that is actually involved! Its not so easy when you've been use to being a single parent for so long but I am getting better!


As hard as it is some days.... I LOVE MY LIFE! I thank God for blessing us as women to be STRONG! At the end of the day it's all worth it! And when it seems like its not enough hours in a day.. I still find time to be FAB!!
